72nd Parliamentary Standing Committee Report On Alleged Irregularities in the Conduct Of Studies Using Human Papilloma Virus (Hpv) Vaccine By Path In India
According to this 72nd report, the Committee has been looking into the issue of HPV trials on children in Andhra Pradesh (Khammam district) and Gujarat (Vadodara district) since April 2010 following reports of deaths of some of the children. The report states that PATH funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation by carrying out the clinical trial on the pretext of observation/demonstration project has violated laws and regulations laid down for clinical trials by the Government of India.
